Bars to turn them into rectangles are a $12 (free shipping). These are a set of seven 1" bars that fit into the the square layout frames to unlock whatever dimension of rectangle you want between 4" and 10". They are a tight fit and require hand strength to pop into place (especially on the smaller squares that don't have any give in the frame), but fit tight enough that you can lift the frame and bar together while you're working.

I know we have limited space and budgets to work with, so I wanted to come up with a way to use one set as much as possible instead of creating a separate set of rectangles that would rely on the dimensions I selected. You can also do this for free by pinning a straight edge in place.

They and are made from 1/4" thick MDF frame so you don't have to worry about them flexing while you work.

Used for:
· Tracing a square for your pattern designing
· Marking your glass before cutting
· Fitting your pieces while grinding
· Checking your piece didn't grow after foiling
· Keeping your glass in place while soldering
Be mindful of cross contamination if you are going to use the same hoop for all steps. I have duplicates and use one set for the first 4 steps and a separate one for when I am soldering with lead.
